30 Day Blog Journal: Day 27

Just three more days of this and then i'll have to find something else to write about. Well for day 27 of my 30 Day Blog Journal is to tell you my worst habit. This is too an easy one for me.

I curse like a sailor! I know sweet little ole me cursing is hard to believe right but I have the worst mouth ever!

If you watch Dexter, I'm not as bad as his sister but it's still pretty bad. I'm not sure when exactly this started but I think it was my junior or senior year of high school and has continued to get worse. Mr. Lopez tells me I really have to get this under control before we have a baby and I totally agree. I'm going to start working on it and its definitely gonna be my new years resolution this year.

So now that I told you mine, what is your worst habit?

30 Day Blog Post: Day 24

Day 24 of my 30 Day Blog Journal is about where I live. I live in the fourth largest city in the United States and the largest city in Texas. That's right I live in Houston, TX.

We are home to The Astros, The Rockets, The Texans and my alumni, The Houston Cougars. I've lived in Houston most of my life and for the most part it's not a bad place to be. I personally have always wanted to live somewhere where there are four seasons. There is really only one season in Houston.
Mr. Lopez and I bought our first brand new home last September. I know I can't believe its almost been a year since we moved in. Here are some pictures from when we first moved in.

I finally got some shelves to put on that blank wall in the living room so I will take some recent pics and post!

30 Day Blog Journal: Day 23

Day 23 of my 30 Day Blog Journal is to share a youtube video. I work for a non-profit whose mission is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and prepare for life. You can learn more by visiting www.cishouston.org.

My organization has a facebook page, myspace page, twitter account and a youtube page which I keep updated.

I'm going to share two videos with you. The first is a CIS alumni who is now attending college telling his story of how CIS helped change his life.

The next video is of elementary school students singing a song they made about CIS.

30 Day Blog Post: Day 21

Day 21 of my 30 Day Blog Journal is a recipe. My favorite dish to make for company is my famous King Ranch Chicken. Everyone loves it and there are so many things you can do to change it up. You can make it spicier by adding peppers or healthy by using low fat soups and cheese.

Ingredients:
12 small corn tortillas
3 cups cooked chicken
2 small bell peppers (try getting 2 different colors)
1 small onion
2 cans of Rotel (if want spicier get the HOT Rotel instead of original)
2 cans cream of chicken soup (or try 1 can cream of chicken and 1can of cream of mushroom)
salt, pepper
2 tbs chopped garlic
2-3 tbs olive oil
Lots of Cheese

Directions:
In skillet, add oil. Heat up to medium then add chopped bell peppers, chopped onions, garlic and salt and pepper. Brown until tender and caramelized. Add Rotel, soups, and chicken. Heat through.

In 13x9 pan layer torn tortillas, then soup, then cheese. Repeat layers. Top with remaining soup and cheese. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes to 1 hour.

And it will come out looking like this!

What is your favorite recipe?

Blog Tag

MLIP tagged me in a game.

The rules are simple: Answer 8 questions, come up with 8 new questions and tag 8 people.

So here are my eight questions:

1. Margaritas; crushed and blended or over ice?
I don't like Margaritas AT ALL!!!!!!!!!! I'm not a Tequila girl. I've learned Tequila is not my friend. I'm more of a Strawberry Daiquiri kind of girl!

2. On top, on bottom, or other?
It depends on the mood that I'm in but I find it easier to orgasm if I'm on top.

3. What colour lingerie do you wear when you want to feel sexy?
Pink is my color so I either wear pink or black and almost always do babydoll lingerie to cover up the tummy.

4. If your life were a book like Eat. Pray. Love., what would your three words be?
I have thought long and hard about this and have decided that if I were going on a journey to find myself my three words would be Enjoy. Give. Relax.

Enjoy life and the things around me.
Give more of my time to my family, friends and my community.
Relax more and stop worrying about everything.

5. Where is your 'happy place'? Is it real, or imaginary?
I have two happy places. One is anywhere where my husband is. We love to spend time together and are happy to be in each others company.

The second is at my foster parents house. There I don't have to worry or stress about anything. I can just relax and get pampered.

6. Have you ever purchased anything "As Seen on TV"?
Back in 2004 I ordered a Slim in 6 workout DVD that I saw on an infomercial.

7. Have you ever looked up your lover's ex? (Facebook, Google, etc.)
I'm fortunate that I am the only person Mr. Lopez has ever been with!!!!!!!! But one of my ex boyfriends left me and knocked up some chick and I used to look at her profile on MySpace to see how ugly she was! LOL

8. Who in your life would you really love to tell off?
Besides people at work sometimes I wish I could tell my biological mother how I really feel about her.

Here are my tagged bloggers:
Amy, The Housewife, Kendra, Sassafrass Jane, Alissa, Mrs. Smith, Nicole, Jessica

Here are your 8 questions:
  1. How many times a week are you intimate with your/a significant other?
  2. What do you want people to remember you for after you're gone?
  3. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
  4. How many times have you been in love?
  5. Are you where you thought you'd be at this age?
  6. Have you ever played the dirty dice game?
  7. Are you a wine or beer drinker?
  8. If you could have any car what would it be?
If you weren't tagged and you'd like to answer the questions anyway, go right ahead!

30 Day Blog Journal: Day 20

We only have 10 more days left of the 30 Day Blog Journal and I have to admit I have no idea what I'm gonna write about after this is over! LOL Well Day 20 is about a hobby of mine.

My two hobbies are reading and watching my favorite shows or movies. Those two things are the most relaxing things to do for me and help me to relieve my stress. Currently I'm reading Dead Until Dark (1st book in True Blood series) and I'm reading The Help for my book club.

What do you like to do to relax?

30 Day Blog Journal: Day 19

Day 19 of my 30 Day Blog Journal is a talent of mine. Unfortunately I don't have a talent. I know that's lame huh but I really don't. Instead I'll tell you an interesting fact about me. I was born with six toes. I know that's a little weird but it's true. I don't know exactly what it looked like but I do know that my pinky toe on my left foot didn't have a bone in it and they had to put a pin in there. My pinky toe and the toe next to it are attached together and I believe my sixth toe was attached to my pinky toe. I don't have any pictures of it and I don't remember having it. I do remember having to stay at the Shriner's Hospital in Houston for my surgery.

My situation makes it a little difficult sometime to buy shoes for that foot because that pinky toe is wider and sticks out a little bit. And sometimes if I bump that toe it hurts really bad because of the pin in there. My parents were supposed to take me back to get the pin out and have more surgery on it but of course that never happened.

Well now you know something weird and interesting about me. So what is your talent or something interesting about you?

30 Day Blog Journal: Day 18

Day 18 of my 30 Day Blog Journal is about my wedding. As most of you already know I just got married on April 24th. This week will be only 4 months that we've been married. Time goes by soo fast. Mr. Lopez and I started planning our wedding in November of 2008 and he proposed on Valentines Day of 2009.

Our wedding was all about sharing our special day with the ones we love. Our wedding party was pretty big with 7 groomsmen and 6 bridesmaids, 4 flower girls, a ring bearer and 2 ushers. Our parents walked us down the aisle and I had a special touch on my bouquet to remember my father who is no longer with us. The night went by sooo fast but it was very memorable and definitely something that was worth waiting for.

Here are some pics of our special day:

30 Day Blog Journal: Day 17

Day 17 of my 30 Day Blog Journal is an art piece. The art piece I want to share with you is La Victoire de Samothrace. I took this picture of the art piece while I visited the Louvre in France. I studied abroad in France during the summer of 2007 to earn a whole years worth of my second language credit in just 5 weeks. I absolutely loved France, the food (especially the crepes), the art, the wine (especially the wine), and the beauty. I would love to go back and be able to share the history and the beauty of France with my husband some day.

30 Day Blog Journal: Day 16

I'm almost half way through my 30 Day Blog Journal and day 16 is a song that makes me cry. This one is easy because the following song always makes me think of my dad and I tear up every time.

What song makes you cry?

Happy Birthday Jennifer!!!!!!

30 Day Blog Journal: Day 15

Day 15 of my 30 Day Blog Journal is about my dream house. I don't really have an overall picture of what I want my deam house to look like but I know the little things that I want to make up my dream house.

The first is a white pickett fence.

Then a wrap around porch.

And a red door to finish off the outside of the house.
For the inside of the house I have to have huge walk-in closets.

A huge jacuzzi tub that both Mr. Lopez and I can fit into.

A nice big kitchen with an island and enough counterspace and drawer space to fit all my stuff.

And last but not least a nice big backyard with a patio.
